Duttabaung was the King of Sri Ksetra and son of Maha Thamawa, making him a cousin of Panhtwar. He conquered Beikthano through deception by sending false rishis to sabotage Panhtwar's magical drum, then took her as his wife and claimed her kingdom. He was ultimately devoured by a dragon after Panhtwar's revenge stripped him of his power and glory.
