Tafaʻi is a legendary figure in Samoan mythology, son of Pua and Sigano, and brother to ʻAlise and sister to Ifiifi. He disguises himself as an ugly old man to reach the court of the goddess Sina-tae-o-i-lagi, whom he eventually marries. With Sina, he fathers La, the sun.
