A group of six brothers from Mount Mei who became sworn brothers with Erlang Shen, forming the Seven Sages of Meishan. The prototype first appeared in the Yuan dynasty religious text The Precious Scroll of Erlang and was later adapted in the late Ming dynasty novel Journey to the West. The group is retroactively set in the Spring and Autumn period.
