A group of seven beings led by an ape spirit named Yuan Hong, appearing in the novel Investiture of the Gods. The author appears to have been inspired by the earlier concept of the Seven Sages of Meishan from Journey to the West, reimagining them as monsters. This version does not include Erlang Shen (Yang Jian), who is instead portrayed as their main adversary.
