Shin U was one of four sisters skilled in the arts of gandari and witchcraft, living in the Kadu Kanan ethnic group area at Pontaung Ponnya. She engaged in magical combat with Queen Nagasena in the sky while eating clouds and won the occult competition. She was ordered executed by burning alive but was saved by people of her region, though she later died under different circumstances and became a nat.
