San Sae Phoe is a traditional Karen nat who is believed to live in Mount Zwegabin, Hpa-An, Kayin State. He was originally a human boy who, along with his sister, was pushed off a cliff by his stepfather but survived and was transformed by a weizza-hermit who gave him three golden pills. After transformation into a young man, he gained the power of influence and took care of the Pagoda, working diligently for the sake of the Dhamma and protecting those who come to Mount Zwegabin to pray.
