Naw Mu Phan is a traditional Karen nat who is believed to live in Mount Zwegabin, Hpa-An, Kayin State. She was originally a human girl who, along with her brother, was pushed off a cliff by her stepfather but survived and was transformed by a weizza-hermit who gave her three golden pills. After transformation into a young woman, she gained the power of influence and took care of the Pagoda, working diligently for the sake of the Dhamma and protecting those who come to Mount Zwegabin to pray.
