Maung Ngon was the royal betel server in King Kyansittha's palace who fell in love with Me Phyu. The couple fled the palace together and sought refuge on Mount Pyapon. He was killed by a tiger attack orchestrated by a resentful female spirit companion of Me Phyu from a previous life.
