Kaya-no-hime is the spirit of grass in Japanese mythology, also called Nozuchi, born to the creator deities Izanagi-no-Mikoto and Izanami-no-Mikoto. This deity was created after the birth of the gods of mountains, rivers, and seas, as part of the divine generation of natural elements.
