Four Hundred Boys

deity sky single tradition · 1

The Four Hundred Boys are possibly patron deities of alcohol who appear in the Popol Vuh. They attempted to construct a hut but were unable to lift a large tree trunk. They were killed by Zipacna, who collapsed the hut on them, and after their death, they entered into the heavens as the open cluster known as the Pleiades.
