Arsinoë II was an Egyptian queen who acquired the royal name Arsinoe Philadelphos and the title nswt-bjtj ("King of Upper and Lower Egypt"), possibly suggesting co-rulership with her husband Pharaoh Ptolemy II Philadelphus. After her death, she was deified at the orders of her husband. The cult of Arsinoe Philadelphos became widespread in the Ptolemaic territories following her deification.
