Zhun

Zhun is a deity attested in Bactrian documents from Northern Afghanistan who appears many times in economic and administrative texts. Scholars have connected Zhun with the Zoroastrian deity Zurvān, the deity of time, with some describing it as a "Well known Bactrian god". The cult of Zhun had a temple in Zamindawar set on a sacred mountain that still existed in the later ninth century when the Saffarid dynasty conquered the area.
