The Watchers are a group of 200 angels described in the Book of Enoch who were assigned to supervise the earth. Instead of fulfilling their duties, they abandoned them and had sexual intercourse with human women. They were ultimately sequestered in isolated caves across the earth and condemned to face judgement at the end of time.
