Wang Yuan

Wang Yuan is a Chinese immortal (xian) who was originally a Confucianist scholar during the reign of Emperor Huan of Han (146–168 CE). He quit his official post and went into the mountains to become a Daoist xian. He later taught others the techniques of immortality and traveled with a celestial entourage, able to summon exotic banquets and provide liquor from the celestial kitchens.
