Unumbotte is the creator god of the Bassari people in Senegal, the Gambia, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau. He created the first man, the animals including an antelope and a snake, and later a woman. He gave humans seeds to grow trees and plants, and would eat from a tree bearing red fruit every seven days.
