The Tyrian Heracles is described as a Sun-god in Nonnus' Dionysiaca. He is given the title Astrochiton 'Starclad' and is saluted as "the son of Time, he who causes the threefold image of the Moon, the all-shining Eye of the heavens". He is associated with rain and the growth of plants.
