Tsonoqua, also known as Dzunuḵ̓wa or Basket Ogress, is a figure in Kwakwakaʼwakw and Nuu-chah-nulth mythology. She is venerated as a bringer of wealth, but also feared by children as an ogress who steals children to eat. Her appearance is that of a naked old monster, black in colour, with long pendulous breasts and bedraggled hair.
