“Toyouke Daijingu (豊受大神宮) is a shrine to Toyouke-hime, the food goddess, located in Ise Grand Shrine. it is also colloquially known as the Gekū (外宮; lit. 'Outer shrine'). In pilgrimage customs people traditionally visit this shrine first and then the Naikū, which is located 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the south The shrine was founded after Emperor Yūryaku dreamt of Amaterasu. She said she was unable to get food and asked him to bring Toyouke-hime from Tanba to help her with food.”
