Taungmagyi, meaning 'Lord of the South', is one of the 37 nats in the official Burmese pantheon. He is one of two sons of Maung Tint De (Mahagiri Nat) and Shwe Nabay. He and his brother were forced to fight each other to death by a king who feared their strength.
