Syceus, a Titan in Greek mythology, is the son of Gaia (Earth) and the eponym of the city of Sykea in Cilicia. He was pursued by Zeus and taken under the protection of his mother, who caused the fig tree to grow for his pleasure. The myth is recorded only by Athenaeus in the 2nd century CE.
