Saw Pha Thar is one of the two traditional Burmese nats known as Pyelepyin Maunghnama, along with his sister Saw Mya Thar. He was a royal umbrella bearer who would shield the sunlight by an umbrella for the King Alaungsithu of Pagan. After his death, he became a nat and looks after the people who believe in him.
