Saint Solomon

Saint Solomon (Mor Shlemun) is thought to have been the first abbot of Mor Hananyo Monastery. He was persecuted under Byzantine emperor Justin I during his intense anti-Miaphysite policies, as described by Michael the Syrian. Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem I Barsoum believed Solomon to have been a disciple of Saint Augen.
