Philotis, also known as Tutela or Tutula, was a slave girl who proposed a plan to save Rome during a siege by the Latin peoples. She and other slave girls pretended to be the wives and daughters of Roman families, infiltrated the Latin camp, and stole their swords after seducing them into drinking.
