Phaea is the name of the woman who owned the Crommyonian Sow in Greek mythology. She was sometimes called by the name of the sow itself. Plutarch states that he had also been told that Phaia herself was a murderous female robber, and was nicknamed "Sow" because of her obese children and uncouth manners.
