Pha
deity water Ahom single tradition · 1
Pha is a formless Supreme Being that hovered over the primordial waters, later taking corporeal shape as a huge crab lying face-up on the waters. Pha then created a female counterpart, who laid four eggs from which four sons hatched; one son became a spirit after death, and his son became the national household deity of the Ahoms.
