Perkunatete is the thunder goddess in Baltic mythology and mother of Perkūnas. She was represented as an oak tree with a cleft resembling female genitals, where lightning would strike, sometimes causing fire. She serves the sun goddess Saulė, waiting on her after her daily ride when Saulė bathes in a sauna to recover her strength.
