Nigrinian, grandson of the Roman emperor Carus, died young in 284/285 CE and was subsequently deified by Carus' eldest son Carinus. He became the last member of an imperial family to be granted posthumous divinity. The deification placed him among the Roman imperial cult's divine ancestors.
