Master of animals

deity Mesopotamian single tradition · 1

The Master of animals is a presumed figure between two lions in a Mesopotamian scene. The scene is depicted on the Gebel el-Arak Knife (c. 3500–3200 BCE), a distinctly foreign artifact found in Egypt. Several interpretations of the themes and designs visible in the Nekhen fresco have been associated with the knife.
