Madonna delle Galline
The Madonna delle Galline (Madonna of the Hens) is a manifestation of the Virgin Mary venerated in Pagani, Italy, whose wooden panel image was miraculously discovered by hens scratching in a chicken coop on the Octave Day of Easter in the 16th century. She appeared in dreams to request church repairs and to heal a cripple in 1609, inviting him to discard his crutches. Between 1609 and 1610, she performed eight miracles total, including seven healings that established widespread devotion to her in the Agro nocerino-sarnese region.
