Long Juju

The Long Juju was a powerful oracle deity whose shrine served as an apex court for communities east of the River Niger. The deity had great influence over the region, with shrine stewards and cult members migrating and settling in clans south of the Niger. The Long Juju's stronghold was destroyed by British forces during the Anglo-Aro War in the early colonial period.
