Lady Xian

Lady Xian was a hereditary chieftain of the Li people in Southern China who lived from 512 to 602 CE. After her death, she was deified as the "Saintly Mother of Lingnan" (岭南圣母). She is venerated as a protective ancestral figure and has been praised by modern Chinese leaders as "the First Heroine of China."
