Kwee Tiong Hok, also known as Kwee Ang Hok, was a native of Quanzhou, Anxi, Fujian Province. Born in the year of Tongguang in Later Tang, he was known for his piety from childhood. He worked herding sheep for the Yeoh family and was deeply filial, always returning home to serve his parents.
