Jñanachandra, also known as Yeshe Dawa, meaning "Moon of Primordial Awareness", is a young princess who lived millions of years in the past. She made offerings to the Buddha Tonyo Drupa and received special instruction from him concerning bodhicitta. She resolved to always be reborn as a female bodhisattva, until samsara is no more.
