I'itoi

I'itoi is the creator and God in the cosmology of the O'odham peoples of Arizona. He resides in a cave below the peak of Baboquivari Mountain, a sacred place within Tohono O'odham territory. He brought the Hohokam people to earth from the underworld and gave the gift of the Himdag, commandments guiding people to remain in balance with the world.
