Hsinbyushin
Burmese single tradition · 1
Hsinbyushin, meaning "Lord of the White Elephant", was a title given to the future King Tarabya of Ava because he was born on the same day as the birth of a white elephant, considered a highly propitious symbol of Burmese monarchs. The name was retained although the baby white elephant died soon after. He was appointed heir-apparent by his father, King Swa Saw Ke.
