Heryshef

Heryshef was an Egyptian deity associated with a sacred lake at Nenj-neswt (Herakleopolis). The deity was significant enough that King Den of the 1st Dynasty visited Heryshef's sacred lake, indicating early cultic importance. Temples dedicated to Heryshef were built and rebuilt from at least the Twelfth Dynasty through the Nineteenth Dynasty.
