The Headless Mule (Portuguese: mula sem cabeça, pronounced [ˈmulɐ ˈsẽj kɐˈbesɐ]) is a mythical character in Brazilian folklore. The tale is most popular in the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná and Mato Grosso but is well known throughout the country.
