Giwish

deity earth Kafir single tradition · 1

Giwish (also known as Gish, Giz, or Laymoch) was born after eighteen months of gestation by bursting out of his mother's navel, which he then sewed back up with a steel needle and healed with medicine. He led an army against Sami, performing miraculous feats such as transforming rocks into mountains, causing bridges to appear, and making sweet roots grow from the ground to feed his exhausted troops. After defeating Sami, he became known as Laymoch and eventually disappeared after bellowing like a bullock at three locations.
