The Four Riders, also known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, are symbolic figures representing conquest, war, famine, and death. They appear in Dürer's Apocalypse series as part of the apocalyptic visions. In the woodcuts, they are portrayed as riders on colored horses executing divine judgment.
