Fire-Fairy
nature_spirit earth Ural folklore single tradition · 1
The Fire-Fairy, also known as the Dancing Fire Maid, is a magical entity whose dance reveals gold deposits. Her pagan origin is evident from her connection between gold and fire and her dancing in a circle, as in pagan khorovods. It is suggested that the Fire-Fairy could be based on the Mansi goddess Sorni-Nai.
