The Fenixmännlein are earth sprites and dwarves from German folklore, historically known in Silesia, particularly in the Oderské vrchy and Hrubý Jeseník as well as in the part of Lusatia belonging to Saxony. They are collective beings dwelling in hills and shrubbery, and are said to be bigger than dwarves but smaller than humans. Inside the mountains, they throw big parties.
