Eumelus, also known as Gadeirus, is the younger twin brother of Atlas in Plato's myth of Atlantis. He is the son of Poseidon and Cleito, daughter of Evenor and Leucippe. Along with his nine siblings, Eumelus became the head of one of the ten royal houses ruling portions of Atlantis, all subject to the supreme dynasty of Atlas.
