Eshu-Elegba, also known as Eshu or Elegbara among the Yoruba, is a spirit-deity who serves as the intermediate communicator in West African religions that incorporate Ifá divination. He relays Ifá's will both to humanity and to other spirit-deities. Among the Fon people he is called Legba, and among the Ewe and Mina he is known as Elegy.
