Empress Alexandra of Rome was convinced to become a Christian after witnessing Saint George's suffering and martyrdom. She joined George in martyrdom, dying for her newfound Christian faith. According to the Latin Passio, she was among the 40,900 pagans converted to Christianity during George's extended martyrdom.
