The Dark Elders are beings whom John Dee serves. They have kept him immortal for several hundred years. Dee needs "The Final Summoning" pages to raise the Dark Elders, and if the Codex is not retrieved, Dee will summon the Dark Elders to destroy the world and return to an age in which humans are but slaves and food.
