Dēmiurgos
The Demiurge is a creator deity in Valentinian Gnosticism who belongs to the animal or psychic kind of substance, being the offspring of a union of Achamoth with matter. He created the world out of Chaos while unconsciously influenced for good, and though he thought himself the Supreme God, he was actually distant by many emanations from the Propatôr or Supreme God. In the Gnostic system, the Demiurge has an inferior though not intrinsically evil function in the universe as the head of the animal or psychic world.
