Bipodtarini is a goddess whose ritual worship (puja) is performed by women as a vrata (vow). The legend of the goddess is set in Vishnupur during the period of Malla kings. She is prayed to as a "cure deity" and invoked during times of specific crisis, or to help an ailing family member.
